Alexander McQueen: 'Savage Beauty'
One can't help but think of style, extravagance and luxury when they think of Alexander McQueen. The multi-award winning British designer artistic and fashion legacy will soon be available for all fashion enthusiasts and McQueen fans to view at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Come March 2015, an exhibition appropriately named Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, will showcase McQueen’s many triumphs in fashion with his first collection at Central Saint Martins (1992) to the uncompleted collection he never got to stage in person, before his death. The exhibition first made waves when it opened in 2011 at the Met in New York. A total of 661,509 people visited the exhibition - making it the biggest attended exhibition The Met had ever seen. Celebrities and close friends of McQueen including Naomi Campbell, Daphne Guinness and Sarah Jessica Parker attended the exhibition on the opening night at the Met Ball Gala. Due to the success it received in New York, the exhibition is making its next stop in the fashion Capital of London, where most of McQueen’s aspiring collections were born.
