From the Caribbean to New York Fashion week
Days into one of the biggest, if not the biggest fashion event in the world, there is a lot of buzz and excitement in the air for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2015 in New York happening this September. Emotions are high for 11 Caribbean models who will be strutting on the international stage for world-renowned designer, Cesar Galindo in his Spring 2015 collection, CZAR by Cesar Galindo. Models from the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands and Guyana, were hand-picked by Mr Galindo himself based on their appearance whilst presenting his collection at Summer Sizzle BVI and Cayman Islands Fashion Week earlier this year. This is the first year that such a large representation from the Caribbean will make their debut for one designer at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. While in New York, models will be busy with fittings, visiting modeling agencies and attend a one-day seminar by an international celebrity couch and scout. They will no doubt get a taste of what it’s like to exist in the real fashion world. Being a part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is by far the biggest opportunity there is, and being viewed by the world’s leading agencies are big opportunities all in their own right.
Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week continues take place at the Lincoln Center in New York until September 11th, 2014 with an extraordinary line up of some of the industry’s top designers, fashion mavens and media houses.
