Founded by Ronke Ademiluyi, AFWL aims to celebrate and embrace African influences on fashion, by combining western fashion with African accents and twists. Back again for a fourth instalment, Africa Fashion Week has evolved further, working hard to produce a fashion event that will be the highlight of the summer. The exhibition presents an opportunity for both designers and consumers to embrace Africa, as great talent from the UK and across the African continent come together in London. From menswear to swimwear, footwear to jewellery, AFWL has something to interest everyone. With Olympia Kensington as the show's new home, AFWL 14 promises not only a catwalk show, but also a two-day market place, allowing designers to trade and for customers to shop.

On the runway will be collections by the likes of British-born Nigerian designer Ade Bakare and Senegalese designer Adama Paris, who has seen her designs sell well in New York and Tokyo boutiques. AFWL is an amazing platform for African or African influenced designers whether emerging or established, to set the stage alight with their creations and create a real buzz for their work. Even better is the fact that you as audiences will be enlightened with cultural but relevant and contemporary styles. Other top names to look out for include rising star Botswanan Tsholo as well as the winner of the Face of Africa Fashion Week 2014, Chi Chi Nwuba, with the two latter featuring on the final day of the event.

AFWL 14 has also brought in the big names in the form of sponsors with top brands and big companies like Motions and Africa TV, as well as Fashions Finest and COLOURFUL radio all supporting this huge exhibition.
