You, just like myself, cannot deny the therapeutic feeling that comes with knowing that you are going to get your nails done and your hair done! Since it's really easy to forget to put ourselves first, why not start by taking your planner out now and blocking out a day on the weekend just for you! I did just that not too long by spending a Saturday afternoon at a comfortable, intimate and relaxing nail bar with Michelle of Michelle D Nails at Nice Nails Baby in Clapham Junction (West London)
With Mariah Carey as the soundtrack to the day, I offered my hands as instructed and the pampering of my beloved fingers began and conversation about the magazine and Michelle's longevity within the nails industry - spanning over 15 years ensued.
I observed as Michelle removed the Shellac over my nails by covering it with nail remover liquid and then wrapping pieces of aluminium foil around each finger. After removing the foil several minutes later, the Shellac came of my nails with ease! I was pleased and happy with this method as I am not a fan of particularly getting my nails stressed with excessive filing.
I decided to opt for acrylics this time around and below is the finished result of Michelle's work! The artwork is a combination of animal prints - my favourites: cow, giraffe, zebra and leopard!
