Pucker Up With A New Lipstick This Spring!
As the season changes, it makes you want to come out of the duldrums of Winter and enter into the joy of Spring with a new look; new wardrobe and of course new makeup, and where better to start than a new lipstick? We’ve road tested four of the best lipsticks to help you find your new season look.
Lush Emotional Brilliance Liquid Lipstick
This liquid lipstick (.. yes you read right, “liquid”) contains organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax and rose wax. As it’s a liquid you can use with a lip balm for subtle colour or on it’s own for the full effect!
The Verdict: As this is a liquid lipstick it goes on watery, but is really moisturising. As well as a lipstick, this could also be used as a lip stain or cheek stain. The colour holds really well on the lips but transfers a little too easily. It’s lightweight and feels very, very moisturising.
The Shades: There’s a wide range of shades, all with very inspiring names, so whatever your skin tone you are sure to find the perfect Spring shade.

Xenca Perfection Lipstick
Made in Milan, these little beauties contain 100% paraben free, eco-certified organic natural ingredients including sweet almond oil, shea butter and castor seed oil.
The Verdict: This is a true lipstick. It’s solid, goes on smoothly and is very moisturising. A natural lipstick which feels comfortable and is moisturising on the lips; definitely a winner in my book!
The Shades: Depending on your skintone, Fudge or Spice could be used to create a nude lip or opt for Cherry or Candy if you want a pop of colour!

Make Up Designory (MUD) Satin Lipstick
The emollient-rich, non-drying formula for these lipsticks hails all the way from the USA. “MUD” is an award-winning LA-based brand used by Holywood stars and celebrity makeup artists.
The Verdict: Silky and creamy, this lipstick stays in place quite well and keeps the lips moisturised.
The Shades: In the Satin range there’s Ladybug, which is an amazing red. Rustic, Blackberry and Havana are great everyday options. Also, check out the Sheer lipsticks which have a wider range of shades.

Iman Luxury Lipstick
Featuring an advanced moisturising formula with Jojoba, Shea, Coconut, Aloe and Vitamin E these lipticks are luxurious by name and by nature.
The Verdict: It glides on and has a moisturising, silky-smooth luxurious texture. I feel very pampered wearing it. Quite simply, it’s a beautiful lipstick; creamy, silky and feels gorgeous!
The Shades: Taboo gives a deep purple/burgandy shade, Scandalous is an amazing red and then you have KinkyPink, Hot and Flirtatious, any one of these will give you a bright pop of colour.
