3 Reasons Why Black History Should Be Introduced To The Primary Curriculum

We came across a petition asking that Black History be introduced in the primary school curriculum - something which we wholeheartedly support! So here are 3 brief reasons why you too should support this petition and take part in effecting historical change.

1. 'Black' history is world history. (Period! - for emphasis)
2. 'It helps to enrich the development of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs of all ethnic groups' 
3. When you understand the origins or the culture of a people, you understand them. This therefore reduces prejudice, discrimination and xenophobia.
