Top Model of Colour 2015


After scouring the UK, Europe and Africa; 25 models have been selected to take part in the 9th annual TOP MODEL OF COLOUR Grand Final at the luxurious Grand Connaught Rooms in London.  The winner receives a host of amazing prizes; best of all is a 1-year contract with a London-based model agency.  Taking place on 30 May 2015, the event promises to be a high class affair with celebrities, live performances and the audience members get to vote for their favourite models.  With this amazing event just around the corner, we went to meet some of the lucky hopefuls.  

Finalist Grace Emmanuelle Kanda

24-year-old GRACE EMMANUELLE KANDA lives in France reading Dutch language and culture at the University of Sorbonne.  She has appeared in Miss Ébène magazine, reached the final of Miss Black Beauty and been a face of Elikya Beauty cosmetics.  Grace wants to pursue a professional modelling career, exploring opportunities in English-speaking countries.


Finalist Aramatou Toure

25-year-old ARAMATOU TOURE lives in London.  She is a qualified gym instructor/fitness coach but dreams of being a fashion designer.  She has won the Miss London Borough model competition, representing none other than Kensington & Chelsea.  Aramatou is inspired and determined to work hard, be herself and achieve her goals.


Finalist Aneeka Williams

25-year-old ANEEKA WILLIAMS lives and works in London, she has a degree in business management and has featured in catwalk shows for London Fashion Week, Debenhams and Miss Selfridge.  She has also placed 2nd runner up in the Miss Black Beauty pageant.  Aneeka wants to be a good role model for young women, helping them to achieve their aspirations.


Finalist Segolame Kudumedi

27-year-old SEGOLAME KUDUMEDI lives in Botswana and is a survey technician.  She has been the Face of Botswana Culture Design Week and competed in Miss Global Botswana and Top Model of the World competitions.  Segolame wants to pursue an international modelling career.


Finalist Shirley Meyers

31-year-old SHIRLEY MEYERS lives in Surrey.  She is a Marketing Co-Ordinator and member of the MOBO-award-nominated IDMC Gospel Choir.  She has taken part in London Alternative Fashion Week, Gathering of Africa’s Best Awards, City’s Top Model Entrepreneur and is the current Miss Bridal Hair & Beauty.  Shirley is passionate about diversity in the fashion industry and wants to inspire self-confidence in young girls.
