OLIVA TWEEST - The Modern Afrobeats Musical To Show Live in the West End Is Back

Oliva Tweest made its debut in the west-end theatre in 2013, to a sold-out crowd and is back for a second time around on the 6th and 7th of September at the Hackney Empire, featuring a reputable cast which sees T-Boy aka 'Mr. Don't Jealous Me' as the lead character, 'Tobi' alongside a crop of young black british talent, including Afro-Pop rising star Vicky Sola starring as 'Trisha', and dance duos Home Bros. (Fuse ODGWizKidD'Banj) and G.O.P Dancers (Tinie Tempah,Cher LloydTiwa Savage), with choreography directed by Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists C.E.O Dancers' Ezinne Asinugo. Written by Hackney, native Nana Duncan and inspired by D'Banj's hit, 'Oliver Twist', the independent theatre production is set in present-time London and tells the story of a promiscuous young man 'Tobi' whose past comes to haunt him when he finds the girl who changes him for the better. The eclectic afro beats to be expected on the night from artists like FUSE ODG, Davido and others, aren't the only reason why, you should seek to attend this event. It is due to be comedic, relatable and not to forget - culturally relevant.

Last year's showing was aspiring and we have a feeling that this year's showing will be even more impressive. We are looking forward to great acting, greater stage design and a display of creativity.
